Shield_400x400We are at the halfway point of the season and the Chargers are 4-4.  After the 4-1 start, Norv Turner has led the Chargers to three straight loses just in time for Raider week.  The Raiders and the Chiefs lost on Sunday, which means for the second week in a row, we have a three way tie for first place in the AFC West.  The Chargers have given us plenty to talk about this season.  Mathews starting the season like gang busters, if Rivers has been playing hurt,  gambling on Gates foot, and many others.  At the end of the day the season really begins with the Thursday game against the Raiders.

I know you need to get your Chargers fix, so I want to invite you to keep up with me and other Chargers fans the rest of the season.  Here is how:

  • Chargers expected to waive Marcus McNeill
Chargers left tackle Marcus McNeill got his big contract in October of 2010. It was considered risky because of his health, and he wound up only playing nine games in 2011. The 28-year-old two-time Pro Bowler is expected to be waived in early March according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.  That would free…
  • Fan sues over NFL conduct policy, says he has a right to swear
Last year we passed along word of a legal challenge to the NFL’s conduct policy for fans. Now the fan challenging that policy is coming forward to press his case and say he shouldn’t have been kicked out of a stadium for dropping an F-bomb is filing a lawsuit over it. Eric Holguin, an off-duty…
